NORTH COAST
BASKETBALL LEAGUE
A LEAGUE OF YOUR OWN.
We welcome players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
The North Coast Basketball League provides competition tailored towards development.
Each division is designed to nurture beginners, engage intermediates, and challenge advanced players. By grouping players and teams of similar abilities, competition and games become more enjoyable and individuals and teams experience accelerated improvement.
Our weekly league, held on Saturdays, is open to players aged eight to eighteen. Players are graded based on their ability rather than age, with advanced players encouraged to play at a higher level to foster their development and competitive play. Less experienced players are placed in teams where they can develop and grow without fear of failure, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment and the opportunity to get their hands on the ball more frequently to improve their game.

WHO IS THIS FOR?
All ages and playing abilities from ages 8 through to 18
Players looking to promote fair play and respect for opponents, teammates, and officials
Players wanting a competition that focuses on continuous improvement
Players that want a sense of unity and cooperation among athletes, fostering teamwork and collaboration.

What to expect
-
Two competitions are held each year: a summer competition during Terms 4 and 1 of the school year and a winter competition during terms 2 and 3.
-
Players benefit from professional coaching and officiating, ensuring continuous improvement, consistent referring, and the opportunity for each play to progress and improve their play.
-
Keeping things simple, each individual, regardless of division, is $180 for the season which includes player insurance.
-
Participants can register individually (the preferred option) or as a minimum 8-member team, and the North Coast Basketball League will assign them to the relevant division and team.
Players may be shifted up in age divisions if this is beneficial for the player and the competition. Mixed-gender teams will be formed to maintain play until adequate gender quotas are met.
