If you want to be the best basketballer you can be, it all starts with North Coast Basketball Academy. The group skills and drill programs are designed to help aspiring athletes learn foundational basketball techniques, improve their individual skill development, and have a supportive and competitive environment that provides the pace and speed of play required for advancement to elite training programs.

Academy is the perfect setting for players of all ages and abilities who want to improve their game. Athletes are divided into groups of players of similar ability and rotate through various drills and skill work led by our experienced North Coast Basketball coaching staff.

  • To develop a deeper understanding of the mechanics and strategies of basketball, allowing players to react more effectively in competitive situations.

  • To help players execute movements with greater precision and confidence, reducing the risk of injury and enhancing overall gameplay and each player's potential.                                     

  • Held on various afternoons during the school term, allowing developing players to train with peers at their skill level in a supportive, respectful, and competitive community environment.

  • At the end of each school term, all Academy training groups gather in Coffs Harbour for the ‘Academy Games,’ where players are divided into groups based on skill level and compete in 3 x 3 and 5 x 5 tournaments.

HOW IT WORKS

Purchase a term pass from our shop by selecting your location and then “Academy”. From there, you will select the day and location you would like to attend and add to the cart.

Show up to your nominated weekly term training session with your water bottle, basketball, and wearing your reversible NCB training jersey*

  • No, North Coast Basketball is an independent company that focuses on providing alternative pathways for players to progress their basketball in regional NSW. 

  • Absolutely, our goal is to create more basketball on the days there is none. We want to see players achieve their goals and access development pathways outside of our programs. NCB runs development programs on days that do not conflict with BNSW associations.

  • Yes, we offer family pricing for families with three or more children. All you need to do is email us with the names of your children and the program you wish to enrol them in, and we can make the arrangements.

  • Sure do. Understand that things add up when signing up for everything, so we always try to offer packages for individuals wishing to attend multiple activities. Check our shop page for our latest deals.

  • NCB is based out of Coffs Harbour, NSW, where we run weekly programs. Our coaches run pop-up sessions outside of Coffs Harbour and travel to towns such as:

    • Ballina 

    • Byron Bay

    • Lismore 

    • Port Macquarie 

    • Taree 

    • Yamba
