Hi, I’m Rob Linton!

I started playing basketball in Year 4 when my family changed schools to BDC. I was obsessed after I played my first game and knew I wanted to be in Basketball for the rest of my life.
I have lived all over Australia and overseas, but I have never found a better place than the North Coast of NSW. The only thing that lets the North Coast down compared to our cities is high-calibre basketball; my goal is to change that!

Fast Facts About Rob...

Quote or words to live by: You can always control effort & attitude.

Who’s your biggest inspiration? My mum, I would not be the person I am today without her. She has sacrificed a lot in her life to help me get ahead, and I am forever grateful that she is my mother. She impressed upon me that my failures were a positive way to grow and improve at a young age, and now I preach the same messages to every player I coach.

Favourite way to train?  Hard, Fast, & Focused. I have never had an issue with motivation or pushing myself to the limit. I get in, I work my butt off, and I constantly focus on the small details. I will never train for longer than an hour and leave every session dripping in sweat. Always quality over quantity.

What’s one interesting fact about you that most people don’t know? I grew up wanting to be an architect. I love designing a before-and-after product. However, after my year 10 work experience at an architecture firm, I learned early that I am not meant to sit behind a desk. I can’t sit still for long.
